Welcome to the Vasse Coal Project community information website. This website has been developed to provide the community with up to date information, concepts and status of the project.

The website forms part of our commitment to work closely with the community in a transparent, consultative and constructive manner to ensure the project is an asset to the people of South West region over many years to come.

 
The fundamental goal of the Vasse Coal Project is to minimise impact and not only coexist with the local community, environment and industry, but also be an asset to the South West region.

Due to the extensive mitigating measures proposed, the project would be designed to be among the least intrusive mining operations in Australia.

The Vasse Coal Project is being assessed under the rigours of Part IV of the Environmental Protection Act to ensure it can be implemented in a safe and environmentally and socially responsible manner.

The project owners have extensive experience in the mining industry both locally and abroad, and have charged LD Operations Pty. Ltd. (LDO or the Proponent) to facilitate the mine approvals, feasibility and mine development of the project.
